Variety's the spice of life or so I have been told And I've made it my goal to try out loads before I'm old A bit of this, a bit of that, it stops things going stale But getting to the pinnacle is all to no avail 'Cos perfection takes a lifetime of practiced dedication But for me that single path would just lead to stagnation So I like my life to have a little variation And the roads I travel will have many destinations I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none Tried my hand at many things but not excelled at one I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none And now I've changed my tune and I sing songs for everyone So now I'm trying piracy, but not on the high seas Tack back and forth across this land my audience to please And as I plunder good times and pillage vain applause You'll forgive me if I'm not the best but that is just because I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none Tried my hand at many things but not excelled at one I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none And now I've changed my tune and I sing songs for everyone

At school he liked to bend the rules, while teachers looked away Smoke behind the bike sheds, rebellion was child's play Subversive pics and messages scratched on the toilet door Little did the staff room know with him they were at war He was an anarchist - loved to live that way A quiet anarchist - into anarchy But in a quiet way - He'd rock the boat gently And be an anarchist - and that's the way he'll stay A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa You won't see him on the streets facing down the riot shields No black flags or Molotovs but that don't mean he yields Yes he'll always find a way to cheat authority Not a life of dull subservient compliant mediocrity Chorus Keep off the grass Don't lick that knife Don't run with scissors Not on your life Take your elbows off the table Speak when you're spoken to Do as I say not as I do There'll be tears before bedtime I'm gonna count to three Don't you that tone with me I can wait all day I don't mind Don't do that or you'll go blind Too many rules The state's decree Find a way to fight back and you'll be free Don't toe the line Reject newspeak Don't sell out You could be unique And be an anarchist - love to live that way A quiet anarchist - into anarchy But in a quiet way - Rock the boat gently And be an anarchist - and that's the way you'll stay A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa A quiet anarchist - bap bap badada daa

You were just a little girl as the mill race ran beneath When fate first lay its evil hand on you He was taken by the waters, and to an early grave There really was nothing you could do But the guilt lay like the waters bearing down on you Carried the pain, held in the tears Cared for sisters and for brothers, did the best you could But the burden was just so hard to bear Did she know? Did she know? When she said that did she know? Was it intuition? Did she know? Did she know? Could she was what come now, did she know? Then romance came and swept you up upon its heady breeze Carried you to places never dreamed But all too soon this spell was broken, no breath left to cry And life carried you on along its stream Chorus Took all the pain, took all the tears. Moulded them into a force for good Took all the pain, took all the tears. Generations would thank you if they could Take all the pain, take all the tears. If you have to go you say it's been the best Take all the pain, take all the tears. You're moving on, lay the guilt to rest Chorus Did she know? Did she know? When she said that did she know? Was it intuition did she know, did she know Was it an admission? Was it a premonition? Could she was what come. Did she know? Could she was what come. Did she know?

Come all you gallant sailors bold, All you who march to drum, Let's go and look for Captain Ward, Out on the sea he roams; For he is the biggest robber That ever you did hear, And there's not been such a robber found In above this hundred year. And the wind blows high, and the wind blows low All on the raging sea A ship was sailing from the east And heading for the west, All laden with silks and satins fine And velvets of the best, On meeting there with Captain Ward, It proved a bad meeting; For he robbèd them of their wealth and store And bid them tell their king. So the king he had him built a ship of noted fame, She was called the "Royal Rainbow," If you would know her name; And she was as well provided for As any ship could be, With thirteen hundred sailors bold To keep her company. At six o' clock in the morning They began to fight, And so they did continue Until eight o' clock at night. "Oh fight on, fight on," cried Captain Ward, "For this sport pleases me, And although you fight for a week or more, Your master I'll still be." Then the "Royal Rainbow" She fired, but all in vain, Till 300 sailors brave Upon the deck lay slain. "Oh go home, go home," cried Captain Ward, "And you tell your king from me, He may be king of all the land, But I'm king of the sea."

It's 1am the last band's played A beautiful day comes to an end The firepit or the tea tent, that's the place to be It's 3 o clock in the morning And the boozy coffee's warming Sat with cider in a field - drunk n disorderly But I have some sage advice for you Take it now from one who knew If you want to see this through Never drink with the Leylines Never drink with Addie Burns Your liver it won't thank you When will you ever learn It's 5am we're going strong Krak Daniels s'out it won't be long We're doing shots but that's a plot - Your life lies in your hands 7am now that's insane You've only got yourself to blame Did you heed the warnings - No you did it anyway! Recall those word we told you mate You've blown it now, it's too late Look at you. You're a bloody state Never drink in the purple people eater Never drink with Dean & Co You'll regret it in the morning I've heard the tales of woe Never drink with the Leylines Never drink with Addie Burns Your liver it won't thank you When will you ever learn Never take them on. Try to save your skin Because the last man standing is a game you'll never win Run for cover. Run, run, run. Next time you're on the lash Save yourself, save your soul, save your sorry ass Woa ho!

We're sitting round the fire, and the flames are burning higher We don't want this night to ever end It's getting so surreal but we love the way it feels All this love and laughter with our friends The stars are shining bright as we fade into the night In the firelight faces all aglow We're singing songs just fine but there are some corny lines Like "You can't push Willy round Willy won't go" But there's still one thing I'd like to know Still one question before we go I don't know how it's happened, I haven't got a clue Tell me what the answer is I dunno what to do Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why is all the rum gone? There's whisky in the jar as the sound of the guitar Is weaving its magic round the fire Flavoured vodkas and liqueurs as it all becomes a blur Getting Lynn & Hilly ever higher Neil and Helen on the beer, with Douglas sitting near And Mark's rolling ciggies ever wider Rob & Carol had run out but Ollie was about So - we drank the Leatherat cider But there's still one thing I'd like to know Still one question before we go I don't know how it's happened, I haven't got a clue Tell me what the answer is I dunno what to do Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why is all the rum gone? It's getting kinda rowdy, voices getting loud the Raucous singing of our favourite tunes Security will frown so we'll have to keep it down Stop ourselves from howling at the moon Now the fire's dying down, but we're still huddled round The sun is in the east and climbing high But all good things must pass, so it's off to bed at last But the memory of this night will never die But there's still that thing we need to know Still one question before we go I think I know what happened, it was probably me and you We'll have to get some more, that's what we'll have to do Now the rum's gone? Now the rum's gone? Now the rum's gone? Why is all the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why's the rum gone? Why is all the rum gone?
