The last days of the King; terror stalks a nation filled with dread
Which way will he turn; either way lives hang by a thread. Oh woa oh oh
Cast in the wishing well; and only time will tell
Mistress Askew reads The Book, and convictions form that will seal her fate
While in a forced, abusive match; but against the odds she’d separate. Oh woa oh oh
Traditions you'd dispel; but only time will tell
Well do you fear the flames?
In the old ways lie the fires of hell, do you rebel
Oh do you fear the flames?
Is this your destiny? Fight devilry?
Oh do you fear the flames?
She’d memorise and proselytise; defy the forces set against her kin
Fight patriarchs and oligarchs; against her spirit they can never win. Oh woa oh oh
Is right on her side; well only time will tell
Well do you fear the flames?
Deep inside your tower cell, you still rebel
Oh do you fear the flames?
Though you triumphed, made a break
This time there's no escape
The rack awaits
Oh do you fear the flames?
Tortured, broken, still she'll not betray
Immutable, silent; true to her faith she will stay
Heresy, blasphemy; all they could throw at her now
And before the final judgement she’ll bow
And as the flames lick higher; only time will tell
One final act of mercy; and only time will tell
Well did you fear the flames?
Bear witness and the legacy; did you foresee
Oh did you fear the flames?
This woman's work was seen and done
Oh not ignored by anyone
The battle lost, the war still won
A heroin
Will never fear the flames?
Is This Your Destiny
Fight Devilry
Tortured. Broken
Heresy. Blasphemy
Witness. Ann’s Legacy
Fear The Flames

What Makes You Happy?
04:25
|
|||
There's this thing called money, it makes the world go round
You have to work, you have to graft to earn an honest pound
It can be hard to come by and it doesn't grow on trees
And one way or another it can bring you to your knees
Money can't make you happy, but it makes the misery
And despair, less hard to bear.
Money can't make you happy, it can't bring you peace of mind
Money can't bring you love.
Bap bap bap bap badap ba. Woah ho ho ho
There's this thing called alcohol, it makes the world seem fine
Whisky, gin and vodka, rum; cider, beer and wine
It can drown your sorrows, take away your power to think
Everyone should believe in something. I believe I'll have another drink
Booze can't make you happy, but it makes the misery
And despair, less hard to bear
Booze can't make you happy, it can't bring you peace of mind
Booze can't bring you love
There's this thing called music, it makes the world a better place
Some lyrics and a happy tune can put a smile upon a face
It's what your feelings sound like. It's appeal has never ceased
If music be the food of love, I say let's have a feast
Music could make you happy, take away the misery
And despair, that was hard to bear
Music could make you happy, it could bring you piece of mind
Music could bring you love
Money and booze are all very well
A short sharp fix on the road to hell
But I'll propose this simple melody
Music could make you happy, take away the misery
And despair, that was hard to bear
Music could make you happy, it can even bring you love
Music could bring you love

Utopia
04:50
|
|||
Let me take you by the hand, lead you to a distant land
Where the sun it shines all day
And the river runs clear, there is no need for fear
It'll wash your cares away
In Utopia
If you're prepared to pay the price you can come to paradise
To a land where time stands still
Your heart's desire, whatever you aspire
All your dreams fulfilled
In Utopia
In the land of the immortals
Utopia
You'll be invincible
Tam chock, chock dee. Let us drink to unity
Together unconditional
Raise a glass tonight, there is no need to fight
We are indivisible
And we'll stay forever young now the song that we have sung
At the fount of eternal life
No war, unity, love and community
No grief, no pain, no strife
In Laos in Laos. Let me tell you how
Tell you how the times have changed
Now the bombs don't fall, they're hanging on the walls
To remind us war's deranged
No war! No war! We don't want another war
Want to live like this as one
One world, one love under one sky above
Under utopian sun
But here's the deal, no no none of this is real.
It's a land of make believe
It's part of the appeal. It's just how it makes you feel
Content to be deceived
Yeah, we don't care, we're just happy to be there
Bury heads into the sand
Yeah, here's the twist, ignorance is bliss
We are Utopians

Why Do You Care?
03:38
|
|||
It’s like an itch you got to scratch, all those petty things
That shouldn’t matter to you. Why do you care?
But quick as a flash (quick as a flash), like a bull you’re seeing red
And you crash the Twitter china shop. And so the hatred spreads
So what’s the beef today? About someone else’s life
That shouldn’t matter to you. Why do you care?
Is it how we dress or look, that causes so much stress
It’s always been a puzzle to me, I must confess
Why should it matter to you, matter to you. Why do you care?
Why should it matter to you. Why do you care?
Why should it matter to you, matter to you Why do you care?
Why should it even matter to you. Why do you give a damn?
And now it’s living on the road, that’s got you in a stew
It shouldn’t matter to you. Why do you care?
I’ll keep myself to myself, if it’s all the same to you
And if you could do the same, see every point of view
Why don’t you care about the poor
Why don’t you care for those in need
Why don’t you care for refugees
Or for rising corp’rate greed
Try love and inclusivity
Tolerance equality
Love and truth and honesty
Yeah, We should care

At age sixteen you knew your mind, and nothing would assuage
Your thirst for days on the ocean waves at such an early age
So off to Portsmouth docks with you, yes off to learn your craft
We won't stand in your way, but send you off with a hearty draft
You're away to sea my lass, you're away to sea
Gone to sail the oceans wide, you're away to sea
And though we'll miss you night and day, we know it's what you crave
So away to sea my lass, for a life on the ocean waves
Yeah, a life on the ocean waves
For your family it was so hard, to watch as you depart
To foreign shores with foreign whores dangers at every port
Imaginations running wild, perils most bizarre
The instinct to protect lives on no matter where you are
Pacific and Atlantic swells, for you they held no fears
From north to south Americas, Singapore and old Tangiers
On mighty vessels carrying the world's goods and black gold
From the tropics to the icy wastes and the bitter arctic cold
You’re away. You’re away
For a life on the ocean waves
You’re away. You’re away
For a life on the ocean waves
You’re away. You’re away
A pioneer on the ocean waves
Lead the way. Lead the way
For women on the ocean waves
Know your way. Know your way
As a skipper on the northern waves
You’re away. You’re away
For a life on the ocean waves my lass. Yeah, a life on the ocean waves
And when at last the time it came the harbour called you home
To steer a course through life's rough waters, storms and the unknown
Yeah we will stand beside you, your family and crew
We'll be with you in the channels that you pilot sure and true
Now you're home from sea my lass, now you're home from sea
Back home from the oceans wide, yes now you're home from sea
And it's good to have you back with us, with your feet on solid ground
So now you're home from sea my lass, yes come home safe and sound
You’re away. You’re away
For a life on the ocean waves
You’re away. You’re away
You’re away to sea my lass, yeah, you’re away to sea
You’re away to sea my lass, yeah, you’re away to sea

When Time Stood Still
04:34
|
|||
It's not like this never happened before
When time stood still
When the Beast came knocking, came knocking at our door
When time stood still
And we're presented with a golden opportunity
And all we have to do is learn from history
When time stood still
Cut all the forests down, slash and burn to feed our greed
And time stands still
Asset strip the world for our excess; our future’s guaranteed
And time stands still
Will our ship survive this storm or are we doomed to sink
Is there time to turn the tanker and pull back from the brink
As time stands still
We build society, with just the same mentality
And Empires rise and Nations fall, apocalypse will kill us all
While we speculate, the dinosaurs prevaricate
The asteroid hits, it's too late
Then time stood still
So drink your fill now. It’s last orders at the bar
And time stands still
This is the exit from this universe, the door is left ajar
And time stands still
And we’ve been pushing at apocalyptic certainty
For so long now we are blinded and can’t see with clarity
That time stands still

Ward The Pirate
05:03
|
|||
Come all you gallant sailors bold,
All you who march to drum,
Let's go and look for Captain Ward,
Out on the sea he roams;
For he is the biggest robber
That ever you did hear,
And there's not been such a robber found
In above this hundred year.
And the wind blows high, and the wind blows low
All on the raging sea
A ship was sailing from the east
And heading for the west,
All laden with silks and satins fine
And velvets of the best,
On meeting there with Captain Ward,
It proved a bad meeting;
For he robbèd them of their wealth and store
And bid them tell their king.
So the king he had him built a ship of noted fame,
She was called the "Royal Rainbow,"
If you would know her name;
And she was as well provided for
As any ship could be,
With thirteen hundred sailors bold
To keep her company.
At six o' clock in the morning
They began to fight,
And so they did continue
Until eight o' clock at night.
"Oh fight on, fight on," cried Captain Ward,
"For this sport pleases me,
And although you fight for a week or more,
Your master I'll still be."
Then the "Royal Rainbow"
She fired, but all in vain,
Till 300 sailors brave
Upon the deck lay slain.
"Oh go home, go home," cried Captain Ward,
"And you tell your king from me,
He may be king of all the land,
But I'm king of the sea."

Tales Of The Barbary
04:21
|
|||
Fill me with fine ale. I’ll tell y’a tall tale
How from Cawsand Bay I was led astray to a life under black sails As a smuggler life’s hard for a Cornish blaggard When a drunken cove offered treasure troves and riches without fail If I sailed to the Barbary.
Day after long day across the Biscay
And through the straights we waylaid freight headed east without delay
No luck in Algiers for our contraband gear
And as an English swain I was clapped in chains on pain of a grisly end
In a scurvy world if you offend
You will be keelhauled! It's one for the road.
One last rum for my condemned bones
And the whip cracks, walk the plank.
One last rum then it's down to Davy Jones
Not abandoned. Jack made a stand and
By a piece of eight and a twist of fate sprung from captivity
We hatched a bold plan to grow our fleet and expand
For our life afloat we need bigger boats on the high seas we’ll hold sway
Privateers on the Barbary!
But all this wealth and fine gold and riches untold
This Cornish lad despite felt sad and pined for his home county
So this life he’d forgo and set sail for Kernow
For a pirates hope it's avoid the rope I’ve no wish to meet that end
In a scurvy world if you offend
Keelhauled. One for the road. Sailed to the Barbary
Keelhauled. One for the road. Privateers on the Barbary
Keelhauled. One for the road. Tales of the Barbary
Keelhauled. One for the road.
